STUCK: Join the Movement

STUCK is a new award-winning documentary film, produced by Both Ends Burning that uncovers the personal, real-life stories of children and parents navigating a roller coaster of bureaucracy on their journeys through the international adoption system, each filled with hope, elation – and sometimes heartbreak.

STUCK steps into the complex human experience of adoption, exploring the challenges faced by birth parents, prospective adoptive parents – and children.

Through the lens of personal, real-life stories the film asks how the global community can take care of these children, safeguarding them from the very real dangers of child trafficking and corruption while also answering their need to move from institutions into loving homes and a normal life.

STUCK is a testament to the power of human love and the inexplicable connection between parent and child – even when separated by thousands of miles and seemingly insurmountable obstacles.  It is a love story of a different kind that celebrates the indefatigable human spirit, the loyalty and the devotion that bonds these parents and kids together as families.

Blessings Distributed! Thank you!

When CCI asked for Zapatos (shoes), you responded in a BIG way! CCI, and truly the children of Guatemala and the Democratic Republic of Congo (as well as Ethiopia), have been blessed by the outpouring of love from you!

CCI's humanitarian aid director and another employee traveled to Guatemala January 2-9 to distribute shoes, bring the children to the amusement park for their Christmas outing and provide training (with another organization) to the children on appropriate vs. inappropriate touch to prevent child abuse.

CCI is happy to report that all of the children were provided with shoes their size, and there were even some left over for new children or new growth! To see the joy on the kids' faces, watch the trip video by clicking the picture below:

Featured Ministry: Show Hope

Show Hope. What name could be better for an orphan ministry than a directive like Show Hope?

Started in 2003 by contemporary Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, then Shaohannah's Hope was originally a means of helping families overcome the financial barriers to adoption. While providing adoption grants is still a large part of Show Hope's ministry, Show Hope is much more than a grant agency today: they truly are a ministry of hope to the millions of orphaned children in this world.
