CCI's staff is pleased to feature Both Hands as a featured outside ministry! As a Christian agency, we are thrilled to know that God's directive given in James 1:27 can be fulfilled even more thoroughly by encouraging our families to take part in the Both Hands mission.
Just as one would sponsor a player in a golf tournament for charity purposes, the adoptive family gathers workers who will be sponsored to complete a project for a widow in need of work on their home. Money raised from the sponsorship of the workers is then applied to the family's adoption expenses.
Our staff social worker, Angela K. Vance, had this to say:
When I first heard about Both Hands, I was so impressed with the idea that families could raise money by helping a widow. I remember telling everyone who would listen about this wonderful new ministry. The more I have learned about the ministry, and having talked to the founder J.T. Olson myself, my awe of the program continues to grow. It is my hope that more and more CCI families will participate in this wonderful program. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Both Hands!
