What Can YOU Do for an Orphan?

 

Think you are too young? Think you are too old? Think one person can't change someone's life? Think you aren't rich enough? Think you don't have time? Whatever you think is keeping you from making a difference in the life of an orphan...think again! CCI has been blessed by so many people, including those working behind the scenes or in private, doing big tasks or small, things alone or in a group...and much more than the blessing we have received, the orphans have been blessed beyond belief!

We hope this page will inspire you to get out and do SOMETHING...anything...for an orphan! When you do, let us know! CCI's Current Needs:

Shoes: NEW sturdy, enclosed shoes for children of all ages in Guatemala!

Infant Formula, powdered: any brand/type

Diapers (cloth and disposible, any size)

Underwear for toddlers, children and teenagers, boys and girls (Most will be sent to Guatemala)

Bras for pre-teen and teenage girls in Guatemala (from the smallest size up to approximately 36c)

Socks for all ages (Most will be sent to Guatemala)

 

 

The things you can do with a pillowcase...are much more than you think!

For the past few years, CCI has received HUNDREDS of the most beautiful, most unique, and most ADORABLE sundresses we have ever seen...made out of pillowcases! The dresses have been made by a group of church women in Montana. Everytime we receive a new shipment (always a surprise when they come), we "ooooohhhh" and "aaaahhhhhh" over them. No two are alike...the same way each one will make a special difference to an orphan child somewhere in the world.

These dresses, as well as homemade boys shorts outfits, have been distributed to orphans in Ethiopia, Guatemala and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is CCI's understanding that these women, also known as Martha Sewing Ministry, also impact the needy that are local to them and through other domestic organizations, as well as blessing soldiers, by making things such as blankets, scarves, mittens, prayer shawls, and other necessary items. These women are truly making a difference for the poorest of the poor, all over the world!
